I’m thrilled to join the cast of the staged radio play production of “The Big Sleep” as part of the Summer Sizzle series, produced by the Long Beach Shakespeare Company, this weekend. When I was growing up, I used to watch old black & white films with my Dad, and grew to love them. “The Big Sleep,” starring Humphrey Bogart and Lauren Bacall, was one of my absolute favorites. I loved the fast paced, smart dialogue and all the crazy plot twists and turns.
It’s an unexpected dream come true to play Bacall’s iconic role of Vivian in this stage adaptation of the screenplay. I’m thrilled and honored to join this very talented cast of players. If you can join us for the fun, please do. “The Big Sleep” play Friday, July 25 and Saturday, July 27 at the Richard Goad Theater in Long Beach, CA. Show starts at 8 p.m. and tickets are here for $10.
And if you’ve never seen this classic film noir, adapted by William Faulkner from a book by Raymond Chandler, please do! You can stream it on Amazon Prime or get it on iTunes. (And if you do, let me know what you thought!)
